Heather + Tim’s Campground Wedding in Angelus Oaks

Posted on Posted in Private Events

Heather + Tim’s Lobo/Oso Campground wedding in Angelus Oaks was off the hook!

They met in October 2013 on Match.com. On their first date, Tim took Heather to the Back Abby restaurant in Clairemont. Heather had purposely planned a second event the same night in case she needed an “out” during the date, but they didn’t share their first kiss until date #2 where they went apple picking together.

On October 7, 2015—Heather’s birthday–Tim & Heather were camping at Haleakala National Park in Hawaii. They woke up to the see the sunrise. Heather didn’t know it but Tim had set up the Go-Pro to record the moment. What moment? The one where they sat on a beautiful cliff overlooking the ocean with the sun rising in front of them and Tim asked Heather to be his wife!

Together they enjoy being outdoorsy–they spend most weekends hiking, camping, snowshoeing, or just exploring. They love to travel and see new things. They have a lifted Jeep with a roof top tent so they can get away from the hustle and bustle of Southern California anytime. For their honeymoon they will be exploring Peru.

THE MUSIC

This campground wedding had lots of country music but, ultimately, variety was the name of the game! The wedding party walked down the aisle to Ingrid Michaelson’s version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” The bride entered to “I Will” by the Beatles. The recessional was Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You.”

After a BBQ dinner and toasts, Tim danced with his mom to Taylor Swift’s “The Best Day,” and Heather danced with her dad to Tim McGraw’s “My Little Girl.” For the First Dance, everyone circled up around Heather & Tim and blew bubbles…the song of choice was Ellie Goulding’s version of “Your Song.”
